Chicago Architecture in Wedding Photos
Lindsey + Jordan picked three locations with rich Chicago architecture for their wedding day photos! They had their wedding ceremony at the classic St Michael Church in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago. They opted to have their wedding pictures at the Chicago Cultural Center and their wedding reception was in the Burnham Ballroom at the JW Marriott Chicago! I love the variety and it makes my job as a wedding photographer all the more fun!
Here’s on of my favorites from their photos at the Chicago Cultural Center:
In case you missed it…be sure to check out Lindsey + Jordan’s Chicago engagement session photos on the Lake Michigan with the Chicago skyline in the background!
Getting Ready at the JW Marriott Chicago
Here’s a photo of her Vera Wang wedding dress with one of her flower girls admiring it’s beauty!
A picture of her Jimmy Choo wedding shoes!
Lindsey bought all her bridesmaids earrings from BHLDN!
Jordan was getting ready in his suite at the JW Marriott
A cool getting ready portrait of Jordan-
Gotta love the tan leather shoes!
And just like that…the groom is ready to get married!
The bride and bridesmaids all wore monogrammed floral bathrobes while getting ready! I normally don’t post a photo of a bride with her hair in curls, but this photo is so much fun with her bathrobe and her drink!
The bridesmaids having a good time with the bride!
Then it was time to put her Vera Wang dress on!
A picture of her younger sister helping with her Jimmy Choos!
Mom putting on the final touches with her bracelet
I wanted to get a full body Vera Wang dress photo- it looks so good in the JW Marriott suite!
A couple beautiful portraits of the bride-
St Michael Church in Old Town
We headed up to Old Town for their wedding ceremony at St Michael’s Church! In her getting ready room…Lindsey put on her wedding veil- and I thought this made for a stunning photo in black and white!
St Michael’s church is beautiful and I wanted to incorporate the architecture into her walking down the aisle photo!
My second photographer, Tom, was behind to get the back of her train in the photo-
A photo of St Michael’s Church from the back of the sanctuary
A cute photo of the flower girl during the wedding ceremony!
Local Chicago Bar: Stout
We stopped by Stout, their local Chicago hangout for a quick set of wedding pictures!
Chicago Cultural Center Wedding Photography
We then headed downtown for a few wedding photos at the iconic Chicago Cultural Center!
I love the large windows of the Chicago Cultural center!
A photo of the full bridal party!
The ladies getting close!
I think this is Jordan’s favorite photo of the guys-
I love the lines and classic architectural elements of the Chicago Cultural Center in this bridal party wedding photo!
As a wedding photographer, I am always looking for new angles and shots!
Before heading over to the JW Marriott, we just walked to LaSalle St to get this picture in front of the Chicago Board of Trade-
Stealing a kiss before entering the JW Marriott!
JW Marriott Chicago Wedding Reception Photography
Golf has been a big part of Jordan’s life…so they incorporated the golf theme into their wedding reception! Their card table had real grass and a little sand trap! The guest names were on little golf ball cards attached to little golf tees! So cute + original!
I wanted to incorporate the real grass into their wedding rings photo
The beautiful Burnham Ballroom at the JW Marriott Chicago
Wedding cake picture-
The tables were named after famous golf courses!
Beautiful menu and plate!
The first dance looked so amazing in the Burnham Ballroom!
That would be the mother of the groom in the pink dress! =O
One last picture of the bride and groom!
Thanks to Lindsey and Jordan for having me as your wedding photographer! It was an amazing day! So many great photos at the JW Marriott Chicago, Chicago Cultural Center + St Michael’s Church in Old Town! Great job picking out those locations! I’m so happy for the both of you! Welcome back from your honeymoon!
